Sandra Landers is an American book artist living in Ireland. She has exhibited in the United States and internationally, with solo shows at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Museum of Natural History at the University of Utah, among others. Among the group shows in which her work has been included are those at the Oregon Biennial, the Chicago Art Institute, the Center for Book Arts in Manhattan, Bumpershoot, and Oidreacht Chorca Dhuibhne in Ballyferriter, Ireland. Her work is in the collections of the New York Public Library, the Rhode Island School of Design, Wellesley College, the Nexus Foundation for Today’s Art, and the universities of Washington and Oregon, as well as in private collections. She has taught at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, Portland State’s Haystack Program, and Fishtrap, as well as presented at Centrum Foundation, the Seattle Book Arts Guild, and at conferences at the University of Oregon, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the National Library in Washington, D.C. Her artist book CLEARCUT was published by Boise State University. With Trish Howley, Landers co-authored the Book Weather Watch, published by Utter Press in County Kerry. She has also hung the exhibition for Féile na Cásca in Ballyferriter since 2003.
