Hot Plate/ Pláta Te

Meitheal Eitseála returns with its second Féile na Bealtaine exhibit, ‘Hot Plate’. We’ve more than doubled in artists – from ten to twenty-four – and expanded both skills and techniques. ‘Hot Plate’ speaks of our common experience of applying ink to copper on a heated surface. Whether working with hard ground, soft ground, sugar lift, aquatint, dry point or any combination of these, we all must go to the hot plate as a first step in inking to make a finished print. In 2012, Meitheal Eitseála invites printmakers from outside the Dingle Peninsula to join the exhibit, presenting an even wider exploration of the vocabulary of printmaking.

Tá ealaíontóirí An Mheithil Eitseála ar ais agus iad ag dul i dtreise! Beidh saothar na n-elaíontóirí le feiscint i dtaispeántas i rith Féile na Bealtaine, 2012. I mbliana, chomh maith leis na h-ealaíontóirí áitiúla, tugadh cuireadh spesialta do ealaíontóirí ó lasmuigh de Chorcha Dhuibhne a bheith páirteach sa taispeántas. Bígí linn chun ealaíon priontála a cheiliúradh.
