Baineann sí sult ar leith as an gcruthaitheacht a spreagtar is í ag cur aithne ar an módh seo agus as an bpróiséas rianúil tréna ndéantar priontáil na híomhá.

Julie has been working as a professional visual artist since 1997, producing work in watercolours, acrylics, oils, mixed media and more recently, etchings. Her work has been exhibited locally, nationally and internationally and is represented in a number of private collections both at home and abroad.

Although relatively new to the Intaglio technique of printmaking, Julie feels that it particularly suits her own drawing style. She particularly enjoys both the creativity and exploration of the techniques and also the methodical process of printing the image.

Julie lives ‘THIAR’ in the village of Ballyferriter and it is from ‘HERE’ and the surrounding area that she draws the inspiration for her work. The etchings that she is exhibiting in An Lab are local scenes from the Kerry Gaeltacht.
